Art in all things at the Palais de Tokyo

In February, the Palais de Tokyo inaugurates its new season entitled “En tout chose”. With a series of exhibitions (solo and group shows) organized from 3 February to 8 May 2017, accompanied by performances and artists’ interventions, the summer season explores the relations between man and object, material and immaterial, through an almost existentialist analysis of our relationship with reality. What power do we exert over objects and, conversely, over us? This problematic, more topical than ever, is like the Ariadne’s thread of the personal reflections of the many artists exhibited, among which the Japanese artist Taro Izumi (who delivers his first solo exhibition in France), Mel O’ Callaghan, winner of the SAM Prize for Contemporary Art 2015, or in particular the French artist Emmanuel Saulnier. During the opening night, the experience of the unique visions of these artists from around the world was at the heart of a visit by art enthusiasts gathered around the director of the Jean de Loisy Museum. Immersed in open scenographies, the works meet and respond to each other, and their symbolic flow crosses the visitor’s gaze.
