The 2023 Gala Dinner of the Société des Amis des musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie

Since its foundation in 1980, the Société des Amis des musées d’Orsay et del’Orangerie (SAMO) has been devoted to enriching museum collections, thereby contributing to the preservation and transmission of our cultural heritage. To broaden the scope of its commitment, the institution hosts a prestigious annual gala dinner at the Musée d’Orsay since 2011. This year’s edition brought together leading figures from the art scene and once again, for an evening that began with a private tour of the exhibition “Van Gogh at Auvers-sur-Oise. The Last Months”, followed by an exceptional dinner in the Salle de Fêtes. The evening was highlighted by speeches from Christophe Leribault, President of the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie, and Jean Louis Milin, President of the Société des Amis des Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie. Just like every year, the funds raised on this exceptional evening will go towards the purchase of new artworks to enrich the museum’s collections. This prestigious and committed event brought together personalities from the worlds of art and culture, including Alain and Suzanna Flamarion, Florence and Daniel Guerlain, Jean Marie Rouart, Kamel Mennour, Louise Bourgouin, Laurent Dumas, Jacques Toubon and Roselyne Bachelot.
