Decorative arts haven’t aged a bit with AD Collections

An event not to be missed for all lovers of exceptional furniture, AD Collections inaugurated its third edition at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. An event where it was necessary to be, it brought together personalities like Mathias Kiss or Vincent Darré, president of the jury for the second edition of the Design Parade Toulon, who know the subject inside out. As soon as they enter the circular exhibition space – a scenographic proposal signed Ann Sevrin – the contemporary creations of high quality look proud in front of a selection of pieces from the museum’s collections. A dialogue between past and present at the heart of this edition entitled “1937/2017, the decorative art of yesterday and today” which attracted its share of distinguished guests : we noticed the presence of the make up artist Peter Philips, the designer Pierre Marie (who confided on the essence of his work in an interview granted to Say Who), and so many other well-known faces like Pierre Frey or Elie Top, all came to support the fifty or so talents represented, such as India Mahdavi, Raphael Navot, Hervé Van der Straeten, the duo Oitoemponto, Charles Zana or Lison De Caunes.
