Barcelone Hosts the 2nd Edition of Shiseido’s Beauty & Innovation Summit
After a highly successful first edition in Venice, Shiseido landed in Barcelona to celebrate its 2nd Beauty & Innovation Summit from September 5 to 6. This time, the event was held alongside the 33rd annual IFSCC congress and it stressed both the brand’s identity and their holistic approach to beauty.
By gathering experts, researchers, dermatologists and influencers from all over the world, the Shiseido Beauty Summit stood as an exclusive opportunity to plunge into Shiseido’s universe. Holistic beauty, green science, advances in the microbiome, and the Group’s latest innovations in anti-ageing technology were among the topics on Tuesday’s programme. After the conferences, guests attended a gala dinner at La Llotja de Mar, one of the most emblematic buildings in the city. This magnificent neoclassical venue provided the perfect setting for guests to indulge in Nandu Jubany’s culinary creations, as the Michelin-starred chef had prepared a special menu for the occasion. To top off the evening, the Madrid DJ duo Mestizas delivered a set of live performances, a mesmerizing blend of flamenco, African and Latin rhythms, with a touch of electro.
The following day, guests were able to attend the IFSCC congress, where Shiseido also held conferences on “Rethinking Beauty” and “Rethinking Science”, led by pioneers of holistic beauty such as Dr. Kajiya. The summit was another testament to Shiseido’s expertise, as the brand won the “Fundamental Research” and “Applied Research” awards for its innovative findings. Among the many experts and influencers in attendance, we spotted Melissa Satta, Yusur Khalidi, Safa Srour, Mthayel el Ali, Angela Caloisi, and Olivia Yang.
