With Ganymede EXTRAIT, Marc-Antoine Barrois Revives an Olfactory Myth

We know of Jupiter’s grand satellite, after which this perfume is named, for its cratered surface and its vast underground ocean, larger than all of those on Earth combined. The creators, Marc-Antoine Barrois and Quentin Bisch, imagine it as an airy world, one composed of such a profusion of fragrances that it becomes combustible. A planet of warm and velvety dunes, from which the scent of the everlasting flower rises towards infinity, leaving the trace of its spicy, caramelised, tobacco scent. Both a sophisticated and a carnal perfume, Ganymede EXTRAIT unfolds in its dizzying trail the seduction of great Classics. Over a delightful dinner at the Hôtel de Guénégaud in the 3rd arrondissement, followed by an after-party in the vaulted cellars of the mansion, we ran into Eddy de Pretto, Jean-Baptiste Marteau, Zoé Félix, Vincent Pasdermadjian and Luca Terracciano among other personalities.
