4000: Invader’s Exhibition
Famous for his invasions, Invader returns to Paris to unveil his new exhibition 4000. The French artist, whose identity remains a closely guarded secret to this day, has chosen the gallery Over The Influence, located in the Parisian 8ème arrondissement, to celebrate the milestone of 4000 mosaics.
This major exhibition runs from 10 December 2022 to 22 January 2023, featuring 40 alias created in reference to 40 space invaders installed across the world. Each alias is the identical replica of an original in-situ work and thus representative of Invader’s “Global Invasion”, a project that he has been developing since 1998.
The exhibition also revolves around a key moment: the publication of the catalog raisonné 4000 – The Complete Guide to the Space Invaders, 1998 – 2021. A true encyclopedia of Invader’s œuvre, the publication aims at providing a thorough documentation of his extensive work.
OTI Paris: The gallery entered the European territory with the opening of its first exhibition space in the 8th arrondissement of Paris on July 2022. It is therefore a real celebration for OTI to present this exhibition dedicated to Invader.
