The 35th Hyères Festival reveals its talents

While the official opening of the 35th Hyères Festival ended with a performance of LA(HORDE) on the roof of the Villa Noailles, it was in its gardens that the second day of this long weekend in Hyères began. Guests got started by attending a dance performance by Adrien Martens, ‘Echoes’ Fantasy part. 1′. To respect the tradition, this second day brought together the press and guests at the Villa Romaine for a lunch by the pool decorated by Debeaulieu. Among the guests were Pierre Banchereau, of course, but also French singer Yseult (who opened the Festival the day before with a live concert) and the members of the fashion accessories jury Hubert Barrère (its president), Yaz Bukey, Ana Girardot, Joana Preiss, Magda Danysz, Blanca Li and Nicolas Maury. While the day was dedicated to the presentation of the finalists’ work in their respective categories (via conference call for the jury members who were unable to attend), it was in the evening that the long-awaited moment finally arrived: the fashion show at the Hangar de la Mouture. On this occasion, Christoph Rumpf, winner of the 2019 Grand Prix and member of the fashion jury this year, presented a collection in collaboration with the Métiers d’Art de Chanel, a historical partner of the festival which inaugurates a new award this year: the Métiers d’Arts de Chanel award. It joins the prestigious Grand Prix Première Vision and Prix Chloé for the fashion category, as well as the new Prix Hermès for Fashion Accessories. Verdict on Sunday!
