Ladj Ly and the cast of “Les Misérables” meet at Le Club by Albane
Day three at the Cannes Film Festival put the spotlight on “Les Misérables,” Ladj Ly’s poignant first feature about a police misstep with dire consequences, drawn from a true story. The director experienced this situation almost ten years ago, and was supported by cast members Damien Bonnard, Djibril Didier Zonga, Issa Perica and Al-Hassan Ly. While Givenchy Beauty took over on the Terrasse by Albane in the early evening, it was at Le Club that the film’s actors—as well as Marina Foïs, Frédérique Bel and Nabilla Benattia—celebrated the day’s success (the film was described as “an electroshock” by Le Monde).
