Tod’s FW 20/21 X Walter Chiapponi : Forever a Milanese memory

As they say, “That’s a wrap.” The Tod’s Autumn Winter 2021 women’s collection presented in Milan by Walter Chiapponi, appointed to the direction of the T FACTORY, the laboratory that brings together a mobile collective of Talents, was enveloping and enchanting. Enveloping at first, because it put leather, the house’s favorite material, back in the spotlight: supple in some places, firm in others, Walter Chiapponi has show his mastery. The collection was enchanting with a palette of soothing colors that shone like the blazing decline of an autumn sun. With ochre, red, burgundy and khaki, it was reminiscentof a chic stroll in Central Park where Tod’s dressing room would be the setting for a vivid memory. For the men: plush trousers, cross-over suits, checked coats, and leather jackets. A chic statement, that also highlights accessories (sublime backpacks and shopping bags) and homemade shoes, including the inimitable moccasins. A look immediately adopted by the front row where Annabelle Belmondo, Benjamin Voisin, Ncuti Watga and Sami Outalbali (yes of Sex Education fame) proved that the collection was immediately ready-to-wear.
