Stella McCartney X Will Sweeney : it’s not about gender

A pioneer of sustainable fashion, Stella McCartney is always pushing the boundaries of ready-to-wear. Her latest achievement: launching a completely agender collection. While such a project is extremely important nowadays, it remains nonetheless difficult to achieve in terms of product design and manufacturing. By choosing to work with oversize shapes and streetwear-inspired designs, McCartney avoided the trouble of measurement differences so that everybody could be on the same boat. Her approach to design has caught the eye of London-based street artist Will Sweeney. Known for his comic-inspired style with vivid colors, Sweeney was one of the first artists of his kind to create agender characters by dressing their faces with iconoclast objects like shoes, vegetables or even pieces of furniture. His psychedelic touch is found in prints used on tees and shirts with loose proportions, just like the Gen Z loves them. Arty and funny, this collection titled « Shared » is available on www.stellamccartney.com/
