Originally from Sardinia, Francesco Risso lived with his parents on a boat during the first years of his life. From these nomad years of his childhood, the artistic director of Marni has kept a spirit of freedom that one can feel in his drawings. It is this playful and friendly, colorful and strongly influenced by modern art universe, that we find in this collaboration. The desire was to combine Uniqlo’s impeccably tailored wardrobe, its efficiency, with Marni’s non-conformist and offbeat spirit. A mix of genres and forms that give this project a new dimension, where styles intersect but never collide.

This one-of-a-kind collaboration, featuring signature lightweight parkas with pop prints, checked pyjamas, and casual a-line dresses, will be available worldwide starting from May 19.
