Reebok x Chukwu: Tobe Nwigwe Signs a Capsule that Mixes Sport, Fashion and Identity

Reebok and Tobe Nwigwe join forces for a collaboration that feels like a game-changer. The sports brand and the visionary artist—known for his bold style applied to film, music and fashion—present the Reebok x Chukwu collection, arriving February 21 on Reebok.eu and in stores.

It is a multi-season project that reflects Nwigwe’s innovative approach to culture at large. The first chapter, The Preseason, reworks historic sports silhouettes with a contemporary aesthetic. The star of the show? The Chukwu OTU, a reinterpretation of the Preseason Turf Trainer. The design is a mix of premium materials—nubuck leather, suede and fabric—with curved overlays that add depth and movement. The name OTU, which in Igbo means “One,” instead pays homage to Nwigwe’s Nigerian-American roots. “The OTU,” the artist explains, “reflects my dual identity: being African American, first-generation American, and deeply connected to my Nigerian heritage. It’s more than a name; it’s the fusion of cultures and values that shape who I am.” The Chukwu OTU will be available in April.
