Always inspired by London’s underground culture, Raf Simons teamed up with Fred Perry on a collection that pays hommage to one of the city’s most legendary clubs: the 100 Club. Located in the heart of Oxford Street, this club has welcomed big names like the Sex Pistols, the Rolling Stones of the Clash over the years. To celebrate the place’s rich history, Raf Simons (who was recently named co-creative director of Prada) gave his interpretation of the classic Fred Perry wardrobe by using imagery from a book called ’100 Club Stories’. The designer reworked the brand’s signature polo by adding printed images as detachable ornaments. The collection also features a knitted cardigan with patches on the sleeves and back, and a long coat is reminiscent of Raf Simons’ own clothing line. The collection will launch on September 17th.
