Xavier Veilhan and Emmanuel Perrotin set the tone for the 57th Venice Biennial

To celebrate the opening of the French Pavilion at the 57th edition of the Venice Biennale—created by artist Xavier Veilhan and called “Studio Venezia”—he and the galleries Perrotin, Nara Roesler, Andréhn-Schiptjenko and 313 ART PROJECT invited friends, artists, collectors and critics to a big party, overseen by We Love Art, near the Arsenal. It was the highlight of a long weekend filled with Biennial opening festivities; the club-like event attracted artists Sophie Calle, Maurizio Cattelan and Orlan, as well as the collector Hubert Neumann, plus Jérôme Sans and Laurent Dumas. Many gathered around Xavier Veilhan and his gallerist Emmanuel Perrotin, who recently opened a new space in New York. The dance floor was brought to life thanks to live music and DJ sets from Pedro Winter, Philippe Zdar and Gilb’r: a perfect way to kick off the Biennial.
