The Gala Dinner of The Amis des Beaux-Arts de Paris
One of the most anticipated events on the cultural calendar, the gala dinner hosted by the Amis des Beaux-Arts de Paris brought together key players in the art world and those who support the arts on Monday, December 8th.
The evening was held in the spectacular Chapelle des Petits-Augustins, where leading figures from the art world, long-standing patrons, collectors, artists, and friends of the school gathered to celebrate the unique energy that drives this institution, founded over two centuries ago.
Overseen by Agnès b., president of the association, and Éric de Chassey, director of Beaux-Arts de Paris, the evening was a testament to the impact of a committed community. Four young artists, Caroline Ailleret, Chadine Amghar, Marion Chaillou, and Winka Mendy, received grants from Les Amis, a crucial financial support in the early years of their careers. One of the scholarships was awarded by F.P. JOURNE watches.
Following tradition, the gala was preceded by a highly anticipated Master Class: a friendly dialogue between Fabrice Hyber, a major artist and academician, and Pascal Rousseau, an art historian, providing the audience with a precious moment of reflection and creativity.
This edition also marked the debut of Henri van Melle, the new secretary of the Amis des Beaux-Arts de Paris, in the presence of Marie-Christine Wolf, one of the Amis’ foremost figures, whose guidance helped set the tone for a warm and welcoming evening.
It was a night filled with art, engaging conversations, and an elegant reminder that the future of fine arts is also built by those who choose to support it.
