Pierre Passebon exhibits Jacques Sultana
“Of course these images retain a form of carnal fascination, but something else slips into them, the solar radiance of youth rubs shoulders with the melancholy of a lost paradise”, explains Jean-Pierre Blanc in the preface of the book “Jacques Sultana, Peintre hyperréaliste”, dedicated to his artist friend. For the launch of this book, this week the gallery owner Pierre Passebon invited the painter’s closest friends to the opening of the exhibition of the same name at the Galerie du Passage. The Parisians Natasha Fraser, Philippe Morillon, Amanda Lear and Arielle Dombasle, but also contemporary artists who today follow in the footsteps of Jacques Sultana in the representation of the male body, stopped by to pay tribute to the painter, and to recall the most cheerful moments spent in his company.
