In the Chambre Noire by Belvedere vodka, it’s all about meaning. Photography, mixology, a one-night stand in Cannes and music mingle at a time when some are climbing the stairs. On this very confidential terrace nestled between the 80’s facades of the JW Marriott, the art of cocktail is sacred every evening with softness – and a hint of spice.
The photo studio, the creative DNA of this epicurean hotspot, runs day and night, by appointment. At the artistic controls of the 2015 edition, the duo We are from L.A immerses us in a film scene, somewhere between a lynchian motel and the black atmosphere of a crime theatre. Story set: what happened there? What’s next? The screenplay remains to be written and everyone takes a break… And since the tandem calls itself L.A, it has pimpé terrace and living in Californian colors, in Cannes Springs mode. Sunshine!
Faithful to the post and so much the better: Aline Afanoukoé renews the MC experience by inviting every evening her artist friends to come on stage. And the truculent animator has no equal in finding the last nuggets that will become ingots. If Keziah Jones or Theophilus London have already made palm trees whirr in pots, we have discovered talents then almost unknown, like Christine & the Queens and Benjamin Clémentine. This year more than ever, the line-up is tasting on the rocks with Singtank, Camelia Jordana, Yael Naim, Pain surprises and Beau. Beautiful, oh yes! Review of the opening night.
