The Villa Noailles awards the Design Parade 2021 winners
After a weekend dedicated to the young guard of design and interior architecture, the Villa Noailles awarded this weekend the various prizes of Design Parade Hyères & Toulon. The Hyères edition, dedicated to design, celebrated this year its fifteenth anniversary while its Toulon counterpart, dedicated to interior architecture, closed its fifth edition. In Toulon, Edgar Jayet and Victor Fleury, both still students at the Camondo school in Paris, won the Grand Prix du Jury Van Cleef & Arpels for their room designed around the idea of heat and inspired by the work of Albert Camus. Clémence Plumelet & Geoffrey Pascal won the Mobilier National Prize for their room inspired by Jacques Deray’s iconic film, ‘La Piscine’. Marc-Antoine Biehler & Amaury Graveleine were awarded the Visual Merchandising Prize by Chanel as well as the City of Toulon Prize, while Anna Talec & Julie Brugier received a special mention from the jury chaired by Olivier Marty and Karl Fournier, founders of Studio KO. The next day, the finalists of Design Parade Hyères met at the Villa Noailles for a ceremony in the garden of Robert Malltet-Stevens’ legendary building. Cécile Canel and Jacques Averna, won both the Jury Grand Prize (presided over by designer Constance Guisset) and the Sammode prize. The duo stood out for their series of self-sufficient signs powered by natural energy. Among the winners, Johanna Seeleman won the Eyes On Talents X Frame Special Mention, Henri Frachon the special mention from the jury , and Arthur-Donald Bouillé the City of Hyères Award. The celebratory weeken ended at the Villa Noailles with a piano concert by Malik Djoudi.
