Mathieu César Unveils Chroniques Terriennes, A Starry Book Published by Delpire&Co
In the past few years, he has been one of the most sought-after photographers thanks to his black and white pictures of celebrities. From Pharrell Williams and the Daft Punk duo to Angèle and Lana Del Rey, Mathieu César has made a name for himself among the stars. And he’s not done with the stars yet, as his latest work Chroniques Terriennes was shipped aboard Ariane 6 in the form of engravings on one of the rocket’s ballast tanks. Driven by a force that has always been part of his life, Mathieu Cesar has a deep bond with space fiction. This latest work brings together pictures of celebrities such as the late Virgil Abloh, Daniel Buren, Michelle Yeoh and Romain Duris, with drawings and texts evoking their relationship with space. During the inaugural evening, we met Alexandre Mattiussi, Soko, Jacques Bungert, Audrey Marnay and Antonin Bartherotte, among others.
