Cannes: The Terrasse by Albane honors the new generation of French cinema
It’s a new week at Cannes! At the June 10th midnight screening, Audrey Estrougo caused a sensation with “Suprêmes”, her biopic of Kool Shen and JoeyStarr retracing the beginnings of NTM. Played by Theo Christine and Sandor Funtek, the legendary French rap duo returns to the forefront with this film presented out of competition, which includes César Chouraqui (“The Origin of Violence”) and Felix Lefebvre (“Été 85”), seen earlier at the dinner organized by Vogue Paris and Dior. The next day, the film crew went gathered at the Terrasse by Albane for an evening with French artist JR and Thierry Frémaux. On Monday, “BAC Nord”, the first official selection for the French director Cédric Jimenez, was the center of attention. The film’s team, including Adèle Exarchopoulos and François Civil, met for a cocktail party before extending the evening at the Lounge with Frédérique Bel, Céline Sallette, Hugo Becker and Doria Tillier.
