The Prix de Flore 2025: Literature, Champagne and Electro Beats at Café de Flore
Founded in 1994 by Carole Chrétiennot and Frédéric Beigbeder, the Prix de Flore celebrates literary creation and the most promising writers every year. True to its bohemian and hedonistic spirit, the winner receives, in addition to a cash prize, one glass of Pouilly-Fumé per day for a year at the legendary Café de Flore, where the deliberations are traditionally held.
Composed of Frédéric Beigbeder, Jacques Braunstein, Manuel Carcassonne, Carole Chrétiennot, Michèle Fitoussi, François Reynaert, Jean-Pierre Saccani, Bertrand de Saint-Vincent, Christophe Tison, Philippe Vandel and Arnaud Viviant, the jury awarded the 2025 Prix de Flore to Rebeka Warrior for her book ‘Toutes les vies’, published by Stock editions. In this intense autobiographical fiction, the author recounts the death of her partner, who passed at the age of 36 from cancer, their shared battle against the disease, the turmoil of grief, and the strength to take on a new beginning.
On November 5th, Café de Flore was buzzing with excitement as it hosted a lively cocktail party featuring Roederer champagne. It brought together leading figures from the worlds of art, literature and Parisian nightlife. Among the guests were prizewinner Rebeka Warrior, surrounded by members of the jury, as well as Sylvie Testud, Michael Cohen, Alexis Michalik, Pauline Lefèvre, Anne Berest, Justine Lévy, Anne Parillaud, Sarah Andelman, Emmanuel Perrotin, Joey Starr, and many other familiar faces from the Parisian creative scene.
To keep the party going, international music star Martin Solveig performed a lively DJ set under the mirrors of Café de Flore. Words mingled with beats, toasts were raised, and the party continued late into the Parisian night. This moment of conviviality and elegance reflected the philosophy of the Prix de Flore: free, inspired and in keeping with our times.
