The Winners of the Grand Prix de l’Héroïne Madame Figaro Revealed
Every year for the past 20 years, Madame Figaro has celebrated the heroic women of French and foreign literature with its famous prize. With the support of Panerai and the complicity of S.T. Dupont and VOLVO, the Grand Prix de l’Héroïne Madame Figaro aims to put the spotlight on books whose main characters are outstanding women.
Last May, Madame Figaro unveiled the final selection of 20 books, divided into 4 different categories. After more than a month’s waiting, the jury, chaired by Colombe Schneck, finally announced the winners at the Hotel Mona Bismarck. Mathilde Henzelin won the French novel category with La Saison des bêtises, while Flore Mongin and Coline Naujalis stood out with their graphic novel/comic Suzanne Valadon, sans concession. Susie Boyt made a strong impression with her foreign novel Amours manquées, and Christine Angot won in the biography/story category with La Nuit sur commande.
At the ceremony, we met Anne-Florence Schmitt, Aurore Domont, Colombe Schneck, Olivier Saillard, Mélina Mantion and many others.
