Joël Holland Presents Paris Shopfronts with Sarah Andelman and Vivian Song

Lapérouse, Paris

It was only a matter of time. After cataloguing the most beautiful shopfronts of New York, London and Brooklyn, Joël Holland is releasing a new instalment of his successful series, this time devoted to the City of Light. Much like an artist’s travel journal, the book features sketches and drawings of the Parisian shopfronts that caught the author’s eye. Among them are some of the most emblematic spots, such as Ladurée, Le Bon Marché and the Moulin Rouge, but also those low-key bars, local brasseries and other lesser-known gems that are dear to the illustrator.

At Galignani on Saturday and La Mère de Famille on Sunday, Joël Holland headed to the capital this weekend to present his book, accompanied by Parisian journalist Vivian Song and Sarah Andelman, authors of the text and preface of Paris Shopfronts, respectively. This double presentation, organised in collaboration with Perrier-Jouët, was followed by a cocktail reception at Lapérouse, where we bumped into Harry Nuriev, Mathilde Favier, Lou Doillon, Stéphane Manel, Philippine Darblay and many others.
