La Redoute and Hôtel Drouot Bring Together Art, Fashion and Design to Support Women

Hôtel Drouot, Paris

On Tuesday, March 11th, the Hôtel Drouot hosted an exceptional auction blending creativity, upcycling and commitment in collaboration with La Redoute. The pieces on auction made up a capsule collection titled ‘Les Uniques’, created by 8 key figures on the contemporary creative scene. They had carte blanche to imbue design and furniture pirces with their signature style, giving them a new lease of life and committed character. Lighting pieces, tables and even a chaise longue were all transformed into unique objects, like a brightly coloured sculpture crafted from recycled beads by designer Kevin Germanier or a variation on Jeanne Friot’s famous belted dress shaped like a chair.

All proceeds from the sale of this capsule collection—which also features contributions from Charles de Vilmorin, Pascaline Rey, Alexandre Blanc, Benjamin Benmoyal, Elisa Uberti and Mathieu Tran Nguyen—will be donated to SOLFA, an association working to help women who have been victims of violence since 1947. During the evening, we met the collection’s designers, alongside Sylvette Lepers, Head of Creative Collaborations and Special Projects for La Redoute, as well as Marion Martinot-Doré, Laurence Benaïm, and Jean-Philippe Phiné N’djoli.
