This place is definitely worthy of the National Geographic. The majestic and protected nature surrounding the Xigera Safari Lodge is breathtakingly beautiful and very diverse. In some places, the land is either luxuriant, arid, or mountainous. This contrasting landscape has been the home of the Tollman family for more than a century, ever since the great-grandfather fell in love with the region. The private concessions in the Okavango Delta are allocated following strict environmental regulations. All materials susceptible of contaminating the water are forbidden, including concrete, cement, or bricks used for construction. The number of guests allowed at once is also limited. While the area expands on 2,000 square miles, there are only about 1,000 beds available. Hence the price. But there’s nothing too expensive when it comes to protecting the wonders of nature.
