When Design Moves Fast: the Smeg x Porsche Collaboration

When two style icons—one on four wheels, the other in the kitchen—decide to meet, the result can only be high-speed. Smeg and Porsche have signed an unprecedented collaboration that brings the German brand’s precision engineering and retro Italian design into the same garage, or rather, the same kitchen. This limited edition combines performance and beauty, paying homage to the legendary Porsche 917 KH in Salzburg livery, the car that won the first overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970.

The stars of the show are the FAB28 refrigerator and the automatic coffee machine with integrated grinder, both produced in just 1,970 numbered units, dressed in red and white with the distinctive Porsche stripe featuring the number 23 “lollipop.” A collection designed for those who consider design a form of driving and everyday life a racetrack to be experienced in style.

The main series is joined by two exclusive lines in Carrara White and Shade Green, iconic colors of the Stuttgart-based manufacturer, available on toasters, kettles, and blenders, with matte black details and racecar-inspired finishes. This isn’t just an aesthetic exercise, but the fusion of two philosophies that share the same passion for quality, technology, and powerful form. After all, even a coffee can have the right rumble.
