In this age when everyone is questioning their consumption patterns, their carbon footprint and upcycling, JM Weston is taking the lead by offering a buy-back service for old shoes. Initiated by Olivier Saillard, Weston’s artistic director, this operation aims to collect and refurbish pairs accumulating dusts in the back of closets to give them a second life on someone else’s feet. The patina of an old shoe can now be combined with the guarantee of a repair made by the factory. A strong concept that will definitely be seeing more brands following in its footsteps.
