Vever x Sofia Sanchez : The new Art Nouveau

You probably already have seen everything there is to see on Art Deco. But Art Nouveau, which came right before, still has a few secrets to share. With the opening of Paris’ La Samaritaine approaching, its is about time to dive back into this incredible artistic current – which the famous Parisian department store is known for. Typical of early century realizations, Art Nouveau is found everywhere in Paris on the first metro stations designed by Guimard. Big names like Gaudi in Barcelona or René Lalique are also known for their contribution this current. Most recently, Vever has secured itself as one of Art Nouveau’s worthy successors. The jewelry house, which was on hold for a while, is now coming back under the spotlight thanks to Camille and Damien, the founder’s great-grandchildren. Their style is all about celebrating the wildlife and nature, which is quite telling of their commitment for the environment.
