At the Fuorisalone, Richemont-owned Buccelati presented “Rosso Maraviglia,” a new collection that combines its typical silver creations with Venini glass objects. A Buccellati silver base composed of fruits and leaves thus decorates a 1948 Fulvio Bianconi Venini “Fazzoletto” vase. With the “Deco” vase, first designed by Napoleone Martinuzzi in 1930, Buccellati wanted to accentuate the composition and merge Art Deco style with Murano glassmaking technique, thus adding a row of silver rings to the foot and mouth of the vase. And when the Narcissus bowl was embellished with fruit-shaped decorations on the base, a neat and rich crown of shells was added to the Venus bowl. An exhibition that conceals two great Italian arts, that of silver and that of glass.
