The youngest of the Arnault family, Jean Arnault joined Louis Vuitton’s watchmaking division last year. Today, he offers a brand new connected version of the iconic ‘Tambour’ watch. With its curved, surprisingly luminous design, the timepiece is a homage to Louis Vuitton’s travel history by integrating the contents of the 30 Louis Vuitton City Guides. While the timepiece has a few health features, Tag Heuer (headed by Jean’s brother Frédéric since 2021) was chosen to take charge of its ultra-sporty functionalities. The positioning towards travel and escape of this brand new OS invite contemporary nomads to extend their travel experience to their new technological friend, and it seems to be the right move for Louis Vuitton. This is a fully reparable technology which components can be replaced in Louis Vuitton’s manufacture in Geneva. Plus, thanks to regular updates, this new timepiece is sure to stand the test of time.
