A new limited edition of the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon by Audemars Piguet is born. The particularity? It was created jointly with the Haute Couture designer Tamara Ralph. The news was announced during the Tamara Ralph show at the Spring/Summer 2024 Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris. “For the design of this watch I wanted to capture the spirit and craftsmanship of both my brand and Audemars Piguet – explained the designer – The complications of watchmaking harmoniously create a base with which you can play in terms of textures, colors and design, allowing the savoir-faire of Haute Couture to shine in all its splendor”. This sublime timepiece has an 18k rose gold case embellished with a frosted gold finish, an ancient Florentine manufacturing technique revisited by jewelry designer Carolina Bucci and adapted by the artisans of the Swiss brand. The multilevel dial, made up of four overlapping circular rose gold plates, is inspired by Ralph’s signature texture details and feminine boldness. “Tamara’s endless pursuit of perfection – said Ilaria Resta, executive officer of Audemars Piguet – is in total harmony with the dedication of our watchmakers in pushing the boundaries of their savoir-faire. We are happy to start 2024 in collaboration with a woman so ready to inspire us and this is just the beginning!”. By Germano D’Acquisto
