Stella McCartney and Hajime Sorayama return to collaborate after the great success achieved three years ago. This time, the two have created a collection dominated by the Japanese illustrator’s hallmark style, known for his mix of robots and eroticism. The capsule in question is a cocktail that blends Sorayama’s avant-garde works with the English designer’s meticulous and precise approach. The Japanese artist’s distinctive style is everywhere: from his characteristic sexy robots to silver strawberries, to the “Platinum Dream” slogans. The campaign associated with this project features the seductive Iris Law, who with her slicked-back platinum blonde hair seems to transform into one of the cyborgs from Hajime’s mind. “I discovered Sorayama’s work in Paris,” McCartney recounted. “It was the late ’90s, and I was struck by it. That mischievous sensuality mixed with the airbrushed quality was enchanting to me.
