To mark the 30th anniversary of Renault’s Twingo model, the French carmaker has chosen design star Sabine Marcelis to create an extraordinary electric version of the iconic car. It is a leap into the future without ever forgetting aesthetics and glamour. This well-known urban model will be revisited in the image of the creative Dutchwoman and presented in a new light, offering an innovative look at the future of car design. Marcelis, who has previously worked with brands such as Céline, IKEA, Isabel Marant and Stella McCartney, has used translucent materials to create luminous interactions that change as the vehicle approaches. This collaboration brings together a number of themes that Renault has chosen to put at the centre of its universe: the values of artistic and creative freedom, sustainable development and the role of women in the world. The presentation of the eagerly awaited Marcelis-branded Twingo will take place for the first time at an exclusive event at the Centre Pompidou in Paris today. By Germano D’Acquisto
