Rosewood x David Chipperfield, the magical Chancery Rosewood opens in London in 2025

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and star architect David Chipperfield are preparing to christen one of the most anticipated hotels of the next season: The Chancery Rosewood, which will see the light of day in the prestigious Mayfair district. The international luxury hotel group in collaboration with the real estate developer Qatari Diar, has revealed the first gems. The structure, located in the former US embassy designed by Eero Saarinen in 1960, will be the subject of an architectural restoration signed by Sir Chipperfield.

The hotel renovated by the great British architect will stand out for its design that fuses Art Deco style with the glamour of the ’60s, preserving original details such as the Grade II façade and the diagrid ceiling. With 139 rooms and suites, renovated public spaces and gastronomic venues designed by Tristan Auer and Bar Studio, the project focuses on a perfect balance between history and modernity. Among the many strings to its bow, interiors by the acclaimed Joseph Dirand, the Asaya wellness center by Yabu Pushelberg and a 750-guest ballroom. The icing on the cake: The Chancery Rosewood will also be the first British hotel to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification for sustainability.
