Alexandre Allard has found the perfect place to make his hotel dream come true: a former maternity hospital in Sao Paulo where more than 500,000 children were born. The idea? To create a brand new establishment celebrating, through history, nature, architecture and consciousness, this city he is so deeply in love with. French businessman Alexandre Allard, already known for having bought a run-down Royal Monceau, has teamed up with Rosewood Hotels to offer what could be the most beautiful hotel in the Brazilian megalopolis. And even though Brazil has no shortage of talent, he decided to call on his old friend Philippe Starck for the decoration, combining French taste, local materials and a nod to vintage to give the whole place an undeniable cachet. Built next to a tower designed by Jean Nouvel, the hotel will be one of the largest hotel complexes in the world, where art galleries will rub shoulders with luxury boutiques, and bistronomic restaurants with ultra-modern gyms.
