Rolex x Biennale Architettura marks a long-standing partnership rooted in sustainability. Since 2014, Rolex has served as Exclusive Partner and Official Timepiece of the Biennale Architettura, returning to Venice from 10 May to 23 November 2025. Curated by Carlo Ratti, this edition is titled Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective, and explores how architecture can adapt to a warming world.
Within this global forum, Rolex presents a new Pavilion reimagined by Mariam Issoufou, the first international architect invited to embody the brand’s values. The result is a structure that merges innovation and tradition, built with recycled materials, local artisans and sustainable techniques.
Inspired by Venice’s ecological fragility and Rolex’s dedication to craft, the pavilion features a reclaimed wood façade echoing the fluted bezels of Rolex watches. Inside, a translucent Murano glass ceiling reflects shifting light throughout the day, while terrazzo flooring incorporates crushed recycled “Cottisso” glass. It’s more than architecture: it’s a celebration of local culture, artisanal mastery and a broad, inclusive idea of sustainability.
