By asking around thirty artists and designers to reinterpret a sailor sweater, POIL created the first sweater to be collected. Around thirty unique models, grouped together in a collective that the Georges-Valois and Nathalie Philippe gallery has decided to bring together, will be proposed in an exhibition mischievously entitled “modes et travaux” from February 28th to April 11th. Everyone was allowed to take the garment and subject it to all of the modifications they wanted. Torn, painted, stitched, embroidered, cut or lengthened, the artists had free rein to turn these few stitches into the woolly expression of a very “Marlène Jobert” fantasy.
