Palomba Serafini x Belmond, the Romazzino Hotel Shines Again

The Romazzino, one of the most iconic hotels on the Costa Smeralda, has been reborn and recently joined the prestigious Belmond family. The restyling was designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba from the architecture and interior design studio Palomba Serafini.

The structure, originally designed in 1965 by architect Michele Busiri Vici, boasts 17 suites, 6 villas, and 77 rooms, each retaining a retro-chic 1960s vibe. The renovation included the beach club, lounges, and areas around the two pools. The entire space is enveloped in tones ranging from emerald green, inspired by the Mediterranean Sea, to saffron yellow, reminiscent of the earth.

The design studio was guided by the theme of sustainability: almost all plastic has been eliminated at the Romazzino, the teak used for tables and outdoor sun loungers comes from controlled plantations, and most of the furniture involves local artisans. A favorite destination for international stars in the 60s, this spectacular Sardinian hotel is now ready to return to its former glory.
