Overfinch X Land Rover Defender: the double cool effect

You might remember this if you are old enough. In the early 80s, Paris-Dakar was the coolest rallye there was. With an all-star lineup and otherworldly landscapes, the race was an absolute dream. At the time, one car dominated the competition: the Range Rover. Especially the model prepared by a small, rather unknown British garage, Overfinch – which led René Metge to victory in 1981. Since then, Andrew Silverstone has transformed Overfinch into the great master of the Land Rover brand. Their new creation? A race car equipped with a V8 6,2l engine originally meant for a yacht. With a teak floorboard, this 90s Defender bears the colors of Roland Garros and was entirely rebuilt to go over the 500hp limit. It is the ideal companion to run errands or cross a few sand dunes… Cool, but make it double.
