Freshly appointed artistic director of Kenzo, Tomoaki Nagao, also known as Nigo, does not give up on his collaborative spirit. His latest stint: a new collaboration with Levi’s where ancestral Japanese denim culture is mixed with iconic symbols of the highly successful American denim brand. To stage these images, the artistic director chose Izushi Eirakukan, the oldest theater in the city based in Kimki since 1901. As for the wings of the duck, they take the shape of the historical seams of the back pockets of jeans. Super clever!
