During the Roaring Twenties, Monaco was quite the antithesis of the place we can visit today. A popular holiday destination amongst the wealthiest and nobility from all over the world, the dearly-called “Le Rocher” has become a victim of its own success and is starting to feel a little crowded. Unbridled urban growth has transformed the city into a maze of towers, disfiguring its natural landscape, yet at the edge of this tiny territory, one establishment has been miraculously preserved: the Beach Club. An enclave of refined taste, hemmed in by a small beach and boasting a beautifully designed swimming pool, this unique hotel is a destination for a pleasant version of quiet luxury. Building on this concept, the hotel has called upon French designer Dorothée Delaye, who has reimagined its exterior area. The idea was to bring back the flavour of the 20s while embracing contemporary trends. It’s a resounding success.
