The G-Class was initially a military request from the Shah of Iran, who wanted an all-terrain, indestructible vehicle available in different versions. But the 1979 revolution put an end to his reign, leading to a major order cancellation for Mercedes. Not knowing what to do with this freezer on wheels, the German company came up with a powerful and luxurious civilian version. Against all odds, the G-Class turned into a hit over time and all celebrities had to have one. The Kardashians, for example, have at least half a dozen, and there isn’t any major rapper without a G-Class either. Capitalizing on this idea, Moncler asked rapper Nigo to imagine a version that would embody what had become a pop culture item. This two-toned model perfectly embodies this desire thanks to its powerful custom speakers, the quilted exterior and the vintage-checked upholstery.
