In the wine field, innovations are rare. In 1970, Antinori, winemaker since 1385, produced the first bottle of Tignanello, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc aged in oak. Now one of the world’s most sought-after wines, Tignanello has inspired a unique Maserati GranCabrio Folgore. The GranCabrio Tignanello was created by Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization program for Marchesi Antinori, who will auction the car for charity. The GranCabrio is finished in Terra di Tignanello paint, inspired by the soil of the Antinori vineyards and with reddish hues inspired by Tignanello barrels. The interior is made of leather and Vegea fabric, which are also used in the vineyard, with stripes reminiscent of vines. The dark heather wood decoration features laser-cut details and the headrests are embroidered with a screen print combining the Maserati trident and the sun emblem found on the Tignanello bottle. The car will be auctioned at the Napa Valley “Arts for All” gala on July 14th.
