Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino is getting a makeover and will open the 2025 summer season with a brand new main building, which will then be joined by the opening of Villa Beatrice, the first private villa in the Belmond portfolio and a brand new luxury destination in the Pearl of Tigullio.

The appointment is set for next June when the hotel will complete the renovation led by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, which set up the entire project by mixing art and Ligurian artisan tradition. The strong points in the renovation of the former 16th century Benedictine monastery? The new suites, but also the common areas of the bar and coffee lounge, in addition to the eagerly awaited Dior Spa. Martin Brudnizki Design Studio worked by honoring the history of the building but inserting delicate contemporary touches here and there.

Next to Splendido, there is Villa Beatrice, once known as Castello Odero, built by the magnate Attilio Odero between the villages of Paraggi and Portofino. Also redesigned by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, it will open its doors in July 2025 and will be one of the most exclusive private villas on the Italian Riviera, the first in the Belmond portfolio. As if to say: summer has just ended and we are already thinking about next summer…
