Audemars Piguet has entrusted Mark Ronson with the mission of creating a super exclusive show to celebrate the closing night of the Montreux Jazz Festival on July 15th. For the occasion, the DJ, composer and record producer will involve musicians who have marked his career, along with some of his protégés, such as Lucky Daye and Yebba. The concert, titled “Mark Ronson and his Favorite Band Ever”, will bring together stars such as trumpeter Dave Guy, who played in “Valerie” by Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse; drummer and producer Homer Steinweiss, who contributed to Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black album; bassist and drummer Nick Movshon who played on Bruno Mars’ “Locked out of Heaven”, and percussionist Elizabeth Pupo-Walker, who collaborated with Elvis Costello, John Legend and Harry Styles. Since 2019, the Swiss Fine Watchmaking Manufacture has chosen music to support emerging musical talents. Instead, Audemars Piguet has been collaborating with Ronson since 2022. After the video series Syncing Sounds, this year the partnership is enriched with a new chapter thanks to the famous jazz festival. A chapter in which both Ronson and Audemars Piguet have a single purpose: “to push human talent beyond its limits and create extraordinary creations capable of touching people’s hearts”.
