Marcel Wanders & Elena Salmistraro x Natuzzi Italia: Mediterranean DNA

To celebrate the Mediterranean. This is the spirit inspiring the new collaboration between Natuzzi Italia and the designer duo Elena Salmistraro and Marcel Wanders. The Italian brand is known for proposing environments in which light enters discreetly, evoking the colour tones of the earth and the sea. It is in this same vein that the designer duo’s pieces come into play. Elena Salmistraro’s Posidonia Collection is inspired by the movement of sea waves, a  total living project where the various elements dialogue with each other. For example, the shell-shaped Calilla sofa envelops the seats, which are in turn crowned by headrests reminiscent of a sea sponge. Or take “Lophelia”, part floor lamp and part bookcase, its metal base supports an elliptical shape which, wrapped in fabric, is surrounded by small light bulbs reminiscent of Apulian lighting and sea urchin spines. This series includes an armchair, pouffe, portable lamp, mirror, set of trays, carpet and cushions. Marcel Wanders’ interpretation of this Mediterranean spirit finds its highest expression in the Adam table. Characterised by a generously sized top with organic, rounded shapes, this dining table is available in two versions: in honey-coloured solid ash wood and with a stone finish.
