On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2025, Maison Perrier-Jouët renews its commitment to intertwining design, nature and sustainability with Cohabitare, an immersive installation designed by the Formafantasma studio. A project that is not limited to aesthetic beauty, but that becomes a manifesto of a new way of inhabiting the planet, in harmony with biodiversity. The collaboration between the historic champagne Maison and the Italian design duo continues in the wake of a shared vision, that of conscious luxury, where art and nature merge to generate transformative experiences. Cohabitare was born from the vineyards of the Champagne region, inspired by Perrier-Jouët’s regenerative viticulture program, and finds its dimension in Milan in the dOT – Design Outdoor Texture space, inside the Cloisters of the Church of San Marco.
The beating heart of the installation is L’Îlot de Biodiversité (Biodiversity Island), a structure designed to encourage the growth of native species. Here, design becomes a habitat, an ecosystem designed for birds, insects and plants, where man observes without altering. Pillars in French artisanal terracotta, enriched with iron oxide enamels in vibrant shades, offer shelter to pollinators and other small inhabitants of the territory. This synergy between Maison Perrier-Jouët and Formafantasma is not only a dialogue between design and nature, but a declaration of intent: the future of art and luxury passes through sustainability. With Cohabitare, design becomes the guardian of a delicate balance, transforming itself into a tool for raising awareness and a bridge between innovation and environmental responsibility. An experience to be lived, tasting a glass of champagne in the Belle Époque Society, the exclusive space of Maison Perrier-Jouët during Design Week.
