After LVMH acquired Italian manufacturer Pinarello, sustainable transport gained ground in the luxury group’s priorities. Today, it seems a new milestone has been reached with Louis Vuitton. The House now offers a made-to-order city bike manufactured by Maison Tamboite, which specializes in making bicycles for almost a century. These leather-encased bikes combine traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, best embodied by the bike’s perforated disc brakes. While the first models are presented in deep red hues, we already know that clients will be able to choose from a large palette of colors to customize their bikes. Also good do know: Maison Tamboite offers a version of the bike equipped with a hybrid electric power assist system, named Zehus.
