Trained in Grasse, Bertrand Duchaufour learned the art of perfumery alongside some of the world’s finest noses. For over 40 years, he forged a career as a freelance perfumer, creating iconic fragrances for prestigious brands that have earned him the reputation of “Master of Incense”. A believer in the philosophy advocating the need for chaos to restore order, he now adopts the pseudonym Master of Disorder to launch a brand inspired by this thermodynamic notion: L’Entropiste. Located at 59 rue des Francs-Bourgeois, in the 4th arrondissement in Paris, the boutique has been designed in collaboration with English architecture firm Fairerol, who has created a minimalist scenography inspired by raw materials.
