Lasvit x Design Miami, Herbarium Radiant Mixes Grace and Resilience

Lasvit, the renowned design house specializing in glass and lighting, announces its partnership with Design Miami 2024 (December 3-8). The collaboration is encapsulated in a captivating project that explores the potential of glass through three innovative designs.

Among them, Herbarium Radiant shines brightly (quite literally), created by Maria Culenova, Lasvit’s Chief Designer, and Jan Formánek, Head of Lighting. This project introduces a new type of glass made by integrating reused materials, such as rare lanthanide oxides extracted from recycled electromagnets. These oxides, fused into the glass composition, allow for the modulation of light colors, bringing out vibrant tones and ethereal hues.

The result is a continuously evolving chromatic display that transforms Herbarium Radiant into a unique visual experience, blending aesthetics with sustainability.
